We work in two materials, glass and aluminium,

A note from the studio

The discipline of doing fewer things, better, is the only honest path to a craft. Every commission begins on tracing paper in our Jebel Ali studio, then moves to CAD, then to a 1:1 mock up on the workshop floor before a single millimetre of glass is cut.

Our cutters, welders, glaziers and installers are on payroll, in uniform, and have been with us for an average of nine years. The hands that draw your project are the hands that finish it.

What the
atelier does.

Five disciplines, one workshop. Each runs as its own studio inside the atelier, led by a foreman with us at least seven years.

A measured
four step process.

Slower than most clients expect, until they see the install. Then they understand.

Step 01

Listen.

A site visit, a conversation, your reference images. We build a brief together. No templates.

Step 02

Draw.

Engineered shop drawings, glass specs, hardware schedules. Reviewed in studio before fabrication.

Step 03

Fabricate.

Cut, mitred and finished in our Jebel Ali workshop. Quality checked twice before it leaves.

Step 04

Install.

Our own team on site. Levelled, sealed, polished. We sign off only when you do.

Very happy with the front gate. After checking several suppliers, this was the most affordable option, and the quality didn't compromise at all.

Chapter 02
About the atelier
2008 — present

An atelier,
not a contractor.

Al Fouzan was founded in 2008 by a glazier and an aluminium fabricator who'd grown tired of compromise. Eighteen years later, we're still small enough to know every project by name, and large enough to deliver them on time.

We work in two materials, glass and aluminium, and we work in them deeply. That's the choice we made early on, and it's the choice we keep making. The discipline of doing fewer things, better, is the only honest path to a craft.

Every commission begins in our Jebel Ali studio with paper drawings, then moves to CAD, then to a 1:1 mock up on the workshop floor before a single millimetre of glass is cut. Our clients tell us the process feels slower than they expected, until they see the install. Then they understand why.

We don't sub contract. Our cutters, welders, glaziers and installers are on payroll, in uniform, and have been with us for an average of nine years. The hands that draw your project are the hands that finish it.

Three things
we will not compromise.

The principles we wrote down in 2008. We've never had to revise them.

001 / Material

Glass as a fluid.

Low iron, tempered, laminated, switchable, anti bacterial. We specify glass like a winemaker chooses a varietal. Origin matters. Edge work matters more.

002 / Joinery

The silent reveal.

Mitred corners, hidden gaskets, structural silicone laid in a single bead. The detail you don't notice took us six iterations to get right.

003 / Time

The handover.

We deliver on the date in the contract. If we miss it, the lost days are on us. In eighteen years we have written that cheque four times.

The long arc.

A short chronology. The longer one lives in the workshop.

2008

Founded in Jebel Ali

Two craftsmen, a small workshop in Jebel Ali Industrial First, and a single contract for a residential staircase balustrade.

2013

First curtain wall

Awarded the façade of a mid rise office in Business Bay. Our first foray into engineered glazing systems.

2017

Workshop expansion

Moved to a 4,000 m² fabrication facility in Jebel Ali. Brought CNC mitre and edge polishing in house.

2021

High visibility cladding

ACP cladding for an LED screen structure in Abu Dhabi, working alongside the main contractor.

2025

Marina Tower delivered

Eighteen storey unitised curtain wall handed over four days ahead of schedule. Our most complex façade to date.

The disciplines
Five studios · one atelier

What we do,
and how.

Five disciplines, one workshop. Each runs as its own studio inside the atelier, led by a foreman who has been with us at least seven years.

N° 01 / Curtain Walls

Façades & Curtain Walls

Unitised, stick built and structural glazing for commercial towers, hotels, hospitals and cultural institutions.

N° 02 / Frameless

Frameless Glass

Showers, partitions, shopfronts and balustrades in low iron, laminated and switchable glass. Finished edge to edge.

N° 03 Aluminium Doors & Windows Schüco, Reynaers and bespoke extrusions. Sliding, lift and slide, pivot, bi fold and casement.
N° 04 Skylights & Roof Glazing Climate tuned overhead glazing. Pyramids, ridges, walk on floors. Engineered for Dubai summers.
N° 05 Aluminium Pergolas Motorised louvred pergolas with integrated lighting, heating and rain sensors.
N° 06 Custom Fabrication One off pieces from the workshop. Staircases, screens, brass trim doors, mirrored cabinetry.
N° 07 Maintenance & Replacement Cleaning, re sealing and panel replacement programs for buildings we built, and many we did not.
We asked for a 6 metre pivot door in low iron glass. Two suppliers said it couldn't be done. Al Fouzan asked when it was needed and what the floor would carry. That's the difference.
